Sometimes, you wanna post a status update like your still using MSN Messenger circa 1999. You don't want the images, you don't want the hyperlinks, you just want text and maybe an emoji or three.
Well, the ATmosphere has got your back! It's all about the simple status update on these sites - they don't even have "like" buttons!
š Status
The super simple option. Pick an emoji, write your status, decide if you want it to disappear and blam, super simple status update!
š Kibun
Answer the question: How are you feeling right now? Pick an emjoi, write your status and cross-post to BlueSky (if you want) . Another super simple option.
š Pckt
Technically, Pckt is a blogging platform in the ATmosphere. However, they recently released a Notes feature that gives you some of the options of these super simple status update sites. It felt like this belonged here.
You can write notes as yourself or as your blog. When you post as your blog, those notes show up on your blog. You can also comment on notes, which you can't do on the other super simple status updaters. It's a little more involved than the other two options, however it still doesn't have likes and feels like a blast to the past with less noise.
If you're looking to simplify your social networking experience and write status updates like you've traveled back in time, before the advent of the algorithm and the engagement, you might enjoy these super simple status updaters.
Any other thoughts?
